English Apple Pie Recipe

English Apple Pie Recipe by Grace Westmark:

Ingredients:

• 1 egg
• 3/4 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup flour
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1 cup diced apples
• 1/2 cup coarse cut walnut meat

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Dice apples enough for one cup. Beat 1 egg and sugar. Add flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Add diced apples and walnut meat together. Put mixture inside a greased pie pan. 

Bake for 25 minutes. 

 

World's Best Sugar Cookie Recipe

 World's Best Sugar Cookie Recipe by Grace Westmark:

Ingredients:

• 1 cup powdered sugar
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 1 cup butter
• 1 cup vegetable oil (Mazola)
• 2 eggs, beaten
• 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 5 cups flour
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
• 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 

Cream sugars and butter together. Add the following: vegetable oil, beaten eggs, vanilla, flour, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt. When well mixed, roll dough into small balls. Dip balls into granulated sugar. Press each ball with the bottom of a fancy glass to create a pattern.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
