World's Best Sugar Cookie Recipe by Grace Westmark:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup vegetable oil (Mazola)
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 5 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cream sugars and butter together. Add the following: vegetable oil, beaten eggs, vanilla, flour, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt. When well mixed, roll dough into small balls. Dip balls into granulated sugar. Press each ball with the bottom of a fancy glass to create a pattern.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
